From the Land of Chunky and the Haus of DeVille, it’s the man of a thousand faces, Portland’s original cosplay drag and burlesque performer, Prince Peanut Butter!!! PB has been performing his magic in PDX since 2011; getting his start with the Clinton Street Cabaret, performing in guest spots with famed Portland Burlesque stars, before finally debuting as Prince Peanut Butter in 2016 with Death of Glitter. As a cosplay performer and storyteller, his goal is to, even for just a second, make the audience believe that each of his characters has been brought to life before your very eyes. He calls this, “the Disneyland Effect.”

This numerical drag thing is a natural time traveler extraordinaire. They hop through different decades, both past, present, and future, to deliver chaotic fun and nostalgia-fueled joy. It’s not no, it’s Nine! Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Nine has made a surreal splash in the scene and consistently transforms themselves into different characters, beings, and creatures. Their deep love of music and pop culture is delightfully apparent when it comes to their performances, and they can’t wait to perform for you! If you love nonsense, you’ll love Nine!

Pride has been celebrated in Portland since the early 1970s, with the first outdoor celebration in 1976. In 1994, Pride Northwest was founded by Eric Brown, at the request of previous organizers, in the hopes of providing a long term stable steward for Portland Pride for many years to come. Now a year-round organization, Pride Northwest has programs that work to uplift the visibility of LGBTQIA2S+ people in Oregon and SW Washington, educate allies and workplaces on LGBTQIA2S+ issues, and celebrate the successes of groups and individuals in the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

At 7:00 PM, it’s CHOPPING MALL (1986)! A group of young shopping mall employees stay behind for a late night party in one of the stores. When the mall goes on lock-down before they can get out, the robot security system malfunctions, and goes on a killing spree. Written and directed by Jim Wynorski and starring Kelli Maroney as Alison Parks.
Q&A following the first film at 8:30 PM.
Then at 9:30 PM, it’s NIGHT OF THE COMET (1984)! A comet wipes out most of life on Earth, leaving two Valley Girls fighting against cannibal zombies and a sinister group of scientists. Written and directed by Thom Eberhardt and starring Kelli Maroney as Samantha Belmont.
The screening is also a FUNDRAISER for Queer Screams.
